A Week and a Half to go!
With a week and a half to go, and all the stores gearing up for a mad rush on the usual fresh-cut flowers, chocolate heart trays and plush bears, there is still time to find The Perfect Valentine's Gift.
I want to talk about travel today. I don't personally believe there is anything more memorable than a unique romantic getaway for just the two of you, away from the everyday distractions for a weekend, a week, or a wonderful 2 weeks away in an exotic, cosmopolitan or rustic destination. There is plenty of room to make it even more special for your Valentine by, for example, upgrading to Business or First Class, phoning ahead to the hotel or guest lodge and whispering in the concierge's ear, or checking into the Honeymoon suite. And why not?

If you decide that you are going to express your love with a romanic getaway for just the two of you, here are a few tips:
- If you are travelling internationally make sure your passport is valid and that you have the relevant visas, if required.
- Don't forget to check your love's passport and visa if it is going to be a surprise!
- Check you luggage is still good (and not musty and dusty if it's been while)
- If your romantic getaway is meant to be a surprise, either tell your Valentine to pack a certain type of luggage, or enlist the help of a close friend or family member.
- Check in for your flights online as soon as you are able, so you can get the best seats possible
- Don't forget travel insurance!
